INVITATION SUITES & LOGOS
We understand that customer’s ideas may change! As such, 2 complimentary rounds of revisions are available, after delivery of the initial proof and before the final delivery, which include minor text changes and 1 calligraphy rewrite. We recommend communicating desired changes in groups or all at once to prevent the need for additional revision rounds.
The complimentary revisions exclude major text changes, additional rewrites, or significant alterations to existing styles which are considered "custom work." Customer will be notified if the work requested qualifies as custom work and will be billed for this custom work at a rate quoted to you in communication with us. Final invoicing will be adjusted accordingly at the discretion of Liza Child Design. We do our best to accommodate your desired wording and content, but we reserve the right to adjust the layout, style and typeface as needed.
Invitation Suites Only: Once your deposit has been processed, your supplies will be ordered. Any changes to paper/envelope/ribbon/wax seal quantity, color, or style after supplies are ordered will be subject to additional charges. This does not apply to script style or layout.
An example of a change order that might change the invoice amount: if you have paid your deposit and your original proposal includes cream paper, but after some consideration you would like to switch to gray paper, you will be notified and billed accordingly at the discretion of Liza Child Design
Please let us know as soon as possible if you are considering changes to your original proposal.
CUSTOM ILLUSTRATIONS & CRESTS
Custom illustrations, maps, crests, large poems/vows, and prints will be billed according to size and design time. Larger illustration proofs will be given for Customer’s approval before final inking, at which time the customer may request 1 round of design changes. Any changes must be requested before final inking and any requests after final inking will only be honored if there are major issues with the final product, and then at the sole discretion of Liza Child Design,
Smaller illustrations will be delivered in full color/ink. At that time, the customer is allowed to request 1 round of design changes and they may be made at the sole discretion of LCD.
APPROVAL AND PRINTING
All wedding, stationery, and custom calligraphy customers must approve final designs before they are printed / inked. This does not apply to individual envelope addresses or place cards, but rather the general script style chosen.
All customers are responsible for double checking the design during the drafting/design process and giving final approval for the following elements (but not limited to):
Paper Size & Color
(keep in mind that light colored inks can be difficult for older eyes to read)
Content & Spelling
Each addressed envelope is considered a unique work of art produced by human hands; therefore, although we offer distinct script styles there may be slight variances between each envelope. By purchasing calligraphy addressing, you are agreeing to trust the artist's discretion and taste. If you receive your addressed envelopes and are unhappy with how the artist has written a particular letter(s), send us a picture of the issue and we will address it. If we determine that the calligraphy is legible but you would still like it redone, you may request a new envelope at your expense and at our earliest convenience. If you are unsure, full alphabet samplers of our script styles are available by request.
Production time is subject to artist availability. We do our best to honor our customers’ requested due dates, especially special event orders, but please note that during our busy season (January-May) production times may be lengthened. Delivery date shall be agreed upon by Liza Child Design and the customer before purchase; however, major changes in design may affect projected production time and possibly delay your order.
Custom work must be reviewed within 48 hours of delivery. Within 48 hours of delivery, and at the sole discretion of Liza Child Design, reasonable requests for revision will be considered.
Shipping times can vary throughout the year. Liza Child Design and the customer will agree upon a delivery date prior to production. Delivery dates that are requested sooner than the given time frame or within 2 weeks of inquiry will be assessed a 20% rush order fee plus expedited shipping costs. International orders may be charged a tax or tariff upon entry to your country, which is customer’s responsibility.
Please know that we CANNOT guarantee delivery dates on behalf of CANADA POST,USPS or FEDEX, nor can we be held responsible for delays or damage caused by CANADA POST, USPS or FEDEX. We will not provide cancellation or refunds because of delays by CANADA POST, USPS or FEDEX. IF YOU ARE AT ALL CONCERNED ABOUT THIS,WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND REQUESTING EARLIER DELIVERY DATES BEFORE PURCHASING YOUR DEPOSIT. If an item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt so that we can investigate the situation; if the damage is due to forces outside of our control we are not responsible, but we will work with you to consider the best remedy. Items may ship separately.
If we mistakenly send you the wrong item, we apologize! Every order is packed by humans. Please let us know within 48 hours of receipt and we will send a replacement.
Customer grants permission to Liza Child Design to use images from customer's order and/or event (if applicable) to promote Liza Child Design’s business, including but not limited to, use on Liza Child Design's website, blog, social media outlets and print marketing materials. Customer grants permission to Liza Child Design to directly contact customer’s photographer and obtain images from them. Customer waives any right to payment, royalties, or any other consideration for the use of the images. Customer waives the right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy, wherein customer’s or attendees' likeness appears. Absent its willful or intentional misconduct, Liza Child Design is hereby held harmless and released and forever discharged from all claims, demands, and causes of action which customer, his/her heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on customer’s behalf or on behalf of the customer’s estates have or may have by reason of this authorization.
Due to the handwritten quality of all our work, we do not offer refunds on any custom or handwritten orders - including logo design. With hand lettering, it is common for there to be variances in the spacing, size, and style of letters. All of our wood products are created in house and different batches of wood can show slight variations.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL
All sales are final. After final design approval is given by the customer via email or other written message, products will enter into production. Any requests for changes after they have been inked, printed, or produced will not be refunded. Requests for reprints will be assessed on a case by case basis and charged accordingly; customer will receive a reprint estimate before work is completed.
Colors may vary slightly from what you see on your screen, and requests for reprints based on color will be assessed on a case by case basis and charged accordingly. If you are concerned about readability or color, you may request a free proof of your design before it is printed or produced.
Although we double check all of our products before shipping, human eyes sometimes miss spelling errors. If you need an envelope readdressed we will send a correction within 1 week. However, if the error is found on the address/name information sheet provided by you, a refund will not be offered and new addressed envelopes will sent at our earliest convenience.
Your purchase contains proprietary material that is owned by, or licensed to Liza Child Design. This material may include, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance, text, images, audio, videos, data, wallpaper, and graphics (including the HTML code used to generate it). You may not use this product, or any part of it, for commercial purposes, unless previously approved in writing, by Liza Child Design. Liza Child Design must authorize use by any party other than you. You may not copy the purchased item nor allow others to copy it. All copyright, trademarks, design rights and other intellectual property (registered and unregistered) shall remain vested in Liza Child Design. Any material given to you in the course of an educational lesson or workshop is proprietary, copyrighted and developed specifically for the workshop or lesson. You agree that such proprietary material is solely for your own personal use. You agree not to make use of these materials for commercial purposes in any manner. Any disclosure to a third party, copying or republishing any portion of these materials outside the direction or permission of Liza Child Design is strictly prohibited and constitutes infringement.
You agree that you will pay for all products purchased through this site and that Liza Child Design may charge your payment method for any products purchased and for any additional amounts including taxes. You are responsible for the timely payment of all fees and for providing Liza Child Design with a valid payment method.
Personally identifiable information you provide will never be sold or traded to outside parties; however we reserve the right to disclose this information where it is required by law. We reserve the right to collect information regarding the ways and frequencies our customers interact with our site.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
Products are provided “as is” and “as available,” without representation or warranty of any kind. Absent its willful or intentional misconduct, Liza Child Design will not be liable to you (whether under the law of contract, the law of torts or otherwise) in relation to the contents of, use of, or otherwise in connection with, this product: for any indirect, special or consequential loss; or for any business losses, loss of revenue, income, profits or anticipated savings, loss of contracts or business relationships, loss of reputation or goodwill, or loss or corruption of information or data or for any extra contractual or punitive damages. These limitations of liability apply even if Liza Child Design has been expressly advised of the potential loss. Customer also agrees that the maximum amount of damages it can seek from Liza Child Design for any claim is limited to the amount customer pays Liza Child Design relating to the services or products from which the claim arose.
Liza Child Design’s failure to exercise any right provided for herein shall not be deemed a waiver of any further or future rights hereunder. Liza Child Design shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations hereunder where such failure results from any cause beyond Liza Child Design’s reasonable control. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that this Agreement shall otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable. This Agreement is not assignable, transferable or sub-licensable by you except with Liza Child Design’s prior consent. Both parties agree that this Agreement is the complete and exclusive statement of the mutual understanding of the parties and supersedes and cancels all previous written and oral agreements, communications and other understandings relating to the subject matter of this Agreement, and that all modifications must be in a writing signed by both parties, except as otherwise provided herein. No agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment is created as a result of this Agreement and you acknowledge that you do not have any authority of any kind to bind Liza Child Design in any respect whatsoever.
